Question: Why is the City of Ellensburg engaging online?

Question: Why is the City of Ellensburg engaging online?
Be Heard Eburg gives the public a way to provide  feedback via online surveys for specific projects. Some projects are used to provide updates to the community and will not have a feedback component. General comments on projects will not be accepted on this platform unless otherwise indicated via use of an interactive tool like a discussion forum or crowdsource mapping.

Question: How will my feedback be used?

The answer to this question varies by project, but in general the feedback we collect through Be Heard Eburg is aggregated, analyzed and incorporated into project planning and policy-making.

Question: Why do I need to register to this site?

While registration is not required to access Be Heard Eburg, it is necessary for many of the interactive engagement opportunities. We ask you to register to the website for a few reasons.

    • It helps ensure a broader set of perspectives have an opportunity to be represented by attributing feedback and frequency of feedback to individuals.
    • It promotes accountability and encourages people to provide more thoughtful responses because feedback can be attributed to them.

    Question: Is my privacy protected?

Yes. The City will never use your email for purposes other than to answer follow-up questions to projects that you've asked about.

Question: How are discussion forums moderated? Where did my comment go?

All public comments within discussion forums, guest books and questions and answers are moderated 24 hours a day seven days a week, for inappropriate language, comments that disrespect other participants and for comments that are off topic.

Moderation of comments is carried out by Bang the Table, and all moderation is independent of the City of Ellensburg. The moderators do not edit or alter any comments, and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed from the site immediately and the person who posted the comment is advised by email.
